Inquiry #1: On sheet X-1 the Typical Cross Section shows the contractor to Cold Plane AC Pavement (0.15’ Max) from PM 37.6 TO 54.0. In the Special Provisions on page 12, section 39-3.04A states, “At the location listed below, schedule cold planing activities such that the pavement is cold planed, the HMA is placed, and the area is open to traffic during the same work shift: 1. Mainline (PM 37.6 to 54.0)”
On sheet Q-1, Summary of Quantities, Cold Plane AC Pavement, the total only shows 6,452 sy of Conform Grinding.

If the State intends to Cold Plane the entire road way 0.15’ from PM 37.6 to 54.0 the quantity should be +/-230,912 sy of cold planning.

Is it the States intent to cold plane the roadway from PM 37.6 to 54.0 EP to EP 0.15’ Max?
