Poster Contest Finalists Announced

It wasn’t easy, but after much deliberation, District 7’s panel of judges has chosen the finalists in the 2012 Caltrans Highway Safety Poster Contest. As the name suggests, the contest theme is highway safety — “Slow for the Cone Zone” or “Move Over” must appear on the poster. Artwork is judged on creative expression and effectiveness in encouraging drivers to slow down and save lives in highway work zones.
The posters created by our four finalists now advance to the final round in Sacramento, where they will be judged against entries from other districts. The winning entries in each age category will be included in the Fallen Workers Memorial program and on the Caltrans Slow for the Cone Zone website.
Thanks to all the young artists who participated, and congratulations to our finalists!
