Richardson Grove Improvement Project - Introduction

Caltrans proposes to adjust the roadway alignment of Route 101 through Richardson Grove State Park. This project will allow access by industry standard-sized trucks conforming to the Surface Transportation Assistance Act (STAA), which are currently prohibited north of Leggett. Project stakeholders include: California State Parks, Inter-Tribal Sinkyone Wilderness Council, Sierra Club, Humboldt Cattlemen's Association, Save-the-Redwoods League, Humboldt County Board of Supervisors, California Highway Patrol, California Trucking Association, local government officials, and other groups.
