I-15 Set For Closure To Remove Bridge Falsework
SAN DIEGO – Both directions of Interstate 15 (I-15) between Rancho Bernardo Road and Pomerado Road will be closed in the late night hours from Monday through Thursday, according to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans).
The southbound freeway will be closed at West Bernardo Drive on Monday and Tuesday from 11:30 p.m. until 4:30 a.m. the next day. The northbound freeway will be closed at Rancho Bernardo Road during the same hours on Wednesday and Thursday through Friday morning.
The closures will allow work crews to remove falsework from the bridge that crosses over I-15 at Pomerado Road/West Bernardo Drive. Detour signs will be posted and direct motorists to exit I-15 at West Bernardo Drive for the southbound commute and at Rancho Bernardo Road for northbound travelers.
