Posted Travel Times Added to Freeway System

SAN DIEGO – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will debut nine additional Changeable Message Signs (CMS) to display estimate travel times to assist motorists during their commutes. The signs will the activated during peak commute hours.

Commuters can use these times to help gauge traffic congestion and figure if an alternate route may help them save time. In cases of emergency and Amber Alerts the estimate travel times will be pre-empted to display pertinent information.

New locations include:

Last month five signs were illuminated for motorists at:
