I-15 Express Lanes Open In Southbound Direction Only this Weekend

SAN DIEGO –The Interstate 15 Express Lanes will be closed to northbound traffic this weekend to accommodate construction of the freeway’s Managed Lanes Project, according to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans).

The Express Lanes will be closed in the northbound direction only this Friday evening at 8 through Monday afternoon at 1. The Lanes will be reversed during this time to allow motorists to use them in the southbound direction.

The I-15 Express Lanes are for carpools, vanpools, buses, motorcycles and single drivers who pay a FasTrak fee. The closure is necessary to complete concrete work and remove temporary barriers along the freeway between Poway Road and State Route 56/Ted Williams Parkway.
