MEDIA ADVISORY - Kids Day

WHO: California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) employees and their children.

WHAT: Caltrans will observe its annual “Take Our Children To Work Day” with a number of events focused around the theme, “Making Choices For A Better World.” Based on the nationwide observance of Take Our Daughters And Sons To Work Day, this fun and educational event allows children to share in the work experiences of their parents.

WHEN:          Thursday, April 24. Activities are planned for 7:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

OPPORTUNITY:
About 125 children of employees and relatives will participate in activities including a remote-control hydro car demonstration and a “field survey” exercise where children will use standard survey equipment to measure the height of a structure within the office complex.
