Work Continues on State Route 78
SAN DIEGO –– A portion of State Route 905 will be closed several nights a week for the next six months starting this Sunday, according to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans).
The closures will take place on SR-905 between SR-125 and Airway Road on Sunday – Thursday, from 9p.m. – 5 a.m. Motorists can detour around the work by taking Airway and La Media roads. No work will take place on Fridays or Saturdays.
The work will include grading and importing dirt to the site for the future construction the new six-lane SR-905.
“The Otay Mesa Port of Entry handles more than two million trucks each year and this project will definitely improve the movement of people, goods, and services in this area and to points beyond,” said Caltrans spokesperson Edward Cartagena.
