MEDIA ADVISORY - BRAWLEY BYPASS

WHO: Caltrans Director Will Kempton, Senators Denise Ducheny and Dennis Hollingsworth, and other local elected representatives.

WHAT: An event to celebrate the continuation of construction of the State Route 78/111 Brawley Bypass and the dedication of the Victor V. Veysey Expressway.

WHEN: Saturday, June 7 at 10:30 a.m.

WHERE: The event will take place at the east junction of SR-78/SR-111 just east of the city of Brawley.

Directions: From the north take SR-111 south to eastbound SR-78 to the east junction with SR-111. From the south take SR-111 north until it ends. From the east or west take SR-78/East Main Street to the east junction with SR-111.

OPPORTUNITY:

A large piece of equipment will move earth at the site signaling the start of construction and dignitaries will unveil the new Victor V. Veysey Expressway sign.
