Interstate 15 HOV Lanes Closed this Weekend

SAN DIEGO –The Interstate 15 (I-15) HOV lanes will closed this weekend beginning tonight at 7 and reopening Monday morning at 4:30, according to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans).

The closure is needed to accommodate construction in the median of I-15 as part of the 20-mile Express Lanes Project.

The I-15 Express Lanes are for carpools, vanpools, buses, motorcycles and single drivers who pay a FasTrak fee. For updated road closure information on the I-15 Express Lanes Project call the Hotline at 866-890-1397.

The I-15 HOV lanes typically operate in the southbound direction weekdays from 5:30 to approximately 10:30 a.m. The lanes switch to the northbound direction at approximately 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. On weekends the lanes operate in the northbound direction only then switch to the southbound direction at 5:30 a.m. on Monday.
