Program/Project Management - We are about managing capital projects from initial planning throughout the end of construction

The District 2 office is home to a majority of the personnel responsible for the delivery of this program.  Project Coordination assumes an "as needed" role in coordinating delivery efforts, participating in space needs negotiations and ensuring timely reporting to district management and headquarters on District 2's capital function activities.

District 2 and the North Region (District 3), share responsibility in the design and construction of projects in District 2.  These two Caltrans districts are actively involved in the life cycle of a project.

Many capital project delivery activities are managed by District 3 in Marysville. While the majority of the employees are located in the district's corresponding with the projects they are working on, management responsibility for the Right of Way, Design and Design Services, Environmental & Construction Divisions are headquartered in District 3.

A project starts with a problem....and an idea for a solution.
