CALTRANS SPONSORS “CALIFORNIA LITTER REMOVAL DAY” - From rural highways to urban areas located within the various cities in District 6 Fresno- the California Department of Transportation and the Adopt-A-Highway Program, continue to demonstrate our commitment to keeping litter and debris off our highways and freeways. In partnership with the Keep California Beautiful organization and community Adopt-A-Highway groups, Caltrans sponsored its second annual statewide “California Litter Removal Day,” on Tuesday, March 4th....watch the video

State Route 99

State Route 99 Fairmead Project - In December of 2006, Caltrans in cooperation with FCI Constructors, Inc., broke ground on a $51 million dollar project. The purpose of this project is to improve safety and traffic circulation, while providing congestion relief and enhancing freeway capacity. This project is located just north of Avenue 20 to just south of the State Route 99/152 separation and will convert 3 miles of State Route 99 from a 4 lane expressway to a 6 lane divided freeway. State Route 41
State Route 41 Sunflower II Project - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will continue with full closures and partial closures (single-lane only) on State Route 41 in Kings, Kern and San Luis Obispo Counties.  Construction on this project is expected to complete in Fall of 2008.
