Preliminary Investigations (PI)

The following are standard Preliminary Investigations Forms, Templates and Files:

  • Bridge Site Data Submittal Form. This is a structural work order form, site data form, and work agreement between the District and Division of Engineering Services (DES), Structures Design or the District and a Consultant Design entity.
  • Bridge Site Data Submittal Form for Non-Standard Sound Walls & Retaining Walls. This is a structural work order form, site data form, and work agreement between the District and Division of Engineering Services (DES), Structures Design or the District and a Consultant Design entity.
  • Bridge Site Data Submittal Form for Sound Walls Carried on a Structure (with no widening or less than 150mm of widening). If a widening is to be done in excess of 150 mm then use the standard BSDS.dot form. This is a structural work order form, site data form, and work agreement between the District and Division of Engineering Services (DES), Structures Design or the District and a Consultant Design entity.
  • This information must be filled out by District Surveys. Prior to a survey crew going out to a site to generate a Digital Terrain Map (DTM), there needs to be an agreement on the Horizontal and Vertical control that will be adhered to all the way through the Construction phase and close out of a Project. Preferably real world coordinates (California), but, they can be what ever the District dictates and will hold constant through out the project.
